BIZZARRINI GTV 4.4V
Program: GT Strada 5300 Replica, GTV 4.4 V
In 1952, Giotto Bizzarrini constructed his first
Bizzarrini 500 Macchinetta coupe, and in the years 1954-63 designed several
models for Ferrari, Lamborghini and ISO. In 1962, he established the Autostar
company (since 1964 - Proto-tipi Bizzarrini, then - Scuderia Bizzarrini), and at the 1963
Turin Motor Show presented the Grifo A3 C Competizione roadster. In the
years 1964-69,
the
exclusive sports cars under the Bizzarrini brand were produced. For the next 30 years there were
numerous attempts to revive the brand, e. g. in 1990 the prototype of the BZ 2001 was shown. At the 2000 Turin Motor Show,
the prototypes of the Kjara and Bebi debuted. The Bebi is to be produced in
Sweden. In April 2002, Bizzarrini was taken over by the newly-founded VGM Motors. The 2005 Geneva Motor Show
saw the debut of two new models: the GT Strada 5300 Replica and the GTV 4.4 V Offered since 2005, the GT Strada 5300 Replica
coupe with a
5.4-liter 350 hp V8 plant by Chevrolet (maximum speed - 280 km/h) is a copy of the
Bizzarrini GT Strada 5300 of 1965-69. The GTV 4.4 V coupe with a 4.0-liter 530 hp V8 Alpina power plant (maximum speed - 360
km/h, 0-100 km/h in 3.9 sec.) is to be
produced as of 2006.
