Production volume in 2003 - 84,808 minivans, approx. 500 station wagons, and 8,070 pick-ups. The FAW
holding, founded in 1953, has been producing Jiefang trucks since 1956 and Hongqi limousines since 1959. In 1993, FAW took
over the
Harbin Light Vehicle Plant, which has been producing the 5-seat Jiefang CA 1021 U2 pick-ups with the
body under the old Toyota Hilux license since 1993.

FAW JIEFANG CA 6350 JIEBAO
The 5-seat CA 6450 / CA 1021 U2V station wagons were based
on them. The CA 5020 OXGHW (body under the Toyota Li Cruiser license) and CA 5026 XGHL (body from the
Jiangling JX 6471) station wagons were offered between 1998-2004. The 5-seat pick-up

with a body from the Isuzu TFS 1996 came out in 2000. The CA 6472 Y station wagon with a 2.2-liter 95 hp or a 2.2-liter 103
hp engine, the CA 6480 P6E station wagon
with a 2.2-liter 102-103 hp engine, and the 5-seat CA 1021 P6LU2E pick-up with a 2.2-liter 102-103 hp engine, debuted
in 2005.
Another
branch, the FAW Jilin Light Duty Vehicles Factory, which since March 1991 has belonged to FAW
and between 1980-97 produced Jilin minivans, launched their successors in 1999: the 6-seat Jiebao CA
6350 / CA 6361 and the 4-seat
Jiebao CA 1016 (with a 870-ccm 38 hp, a 870-ccm 44 hp, or a1051-ccm 52 hp plant).
The 6to 8-seat Jiebao CA 6360 minivan with a870-ccm 44 hp or a1051-ccm 52 hp unit was
released in 2003. The CA 1010 pick-up based on the CA 6350 minivan has been offered since 2003. FAW has also offered
the 5-seat CA 6410 minivan since the late 1990s. In September 2002, FAW took over 50.98% of the shares in
Tianjin Automobile Xiali Co (Xiali cars manufacturer) and 75% of the shares in
Tianjin Huali Motor Co (Huali cars manufacturer, since 2003 - the FAW-Jiaxing). The FAW
holding co-produced with FAW-VW, Hainan Mazda and other branches 858,737 passenger and
utility cars in 2003, with production volume to exceed three million in 2010.
